Besides processing files on a file-by-file or folder-by-folder basis, A/S supports auto-processing of a predefined input folder, placing the resulting files into a folder. The output folder can be an existing, predefined folder, or it can be created when the input folder is processed. The input and output folders names may be viewed and edited from the Folder Preferences window. Only one input folder and one output folder may be defined. When an input and an output folder are both chosen, A/S will process the files in the input folder and place the resulting files in the output folder. Once begun, no additional user interaction is required to process the contents of the input folder. When only the input folder is chosen, A/S will ask to create a new output folder for the processed files. The name and location of this folder is chosen by the user. Once the output folder is created, no additional user interaction is required to process the contents of the input folder. Choose Process Input Folder… from the File menu to process each TEXT file in the selected input folder. Press the option key when choosing the File menu to access the Process Any In Input ƒ… menu item which processes all files in the input folder. The ellipsis character (…) is not shown in the menu item when input and output folders are both chosen. The menu item is dimmed when no input folder is chosen. Be aware that if a file with the same name as the output file already exists in the chosen output folder, it will be overwritten with no warning.
